The annual Showtime Awards and Revue, under the updated title of Clover Showtime: The Pleasure of Your Company, and presented in collaboration with Clover and the PEMADS, celebrates Clover Showtime's amazing 25th birthday. The show will run at the Little Theatre in Central from Friday 22nd to Saturday 30th January, with the three awards nights on Saturday, 23rd (High School Awards), Monday, 25th (Primary School Awards) and Friday, 29th (Main Amateur and Professional Awards).

The revue is again executive produced, devised and written by Bob Eveleigh, with Marlene Pieterse returning as director and Wayne Hughes as musical and vocal director. Choreography is by Heidi Sampson and Lauren McCarthy from Defying Gravity studio, which also provides the 11-strong troupe of dancers.
The dancers join a talented core cast of eight young newcomers, led by Candice Millar, in her fourth Clover Showtime outing, and special guest star Paul Leonard. "The Pleasure of Your Company" is built around the 1700-plus songbook of American composer/lyricist Johnny Mercer, winner of four Best Song Academy Awards with hits like In the Cool, Cool of the Evening and Moon River, as well as standards such as Autumn Leaves, The Summer Wind, Jeepers Creepers, Hooray for Hollywood and the title song.
Seats for all the awards nights are available to the public at R70.00 and for the 3 public performances of the run, on January 26, 27 and 30, seats will cost R70.00 for adults and R50.00 for seniors, students and children, and may be reserved at all Computicket outlets after booking opens at 9am on Friday, January 15.

…see you at the theatre!
